PROJECT MASTER: Riazim SA
ARCHITECTS: Dieter Specht
Completed in 2016 in Riazzino, Switzerland, for Riazim SA, the project by architect Dieter Specht fits into the local industrial context with a sober and functional language. The building is characterized by white S-shaped panels, equipped with thermal breaks, which define the facades with a regular rhythm and a measured geometry. The use of prefabricated construction allowed for optimized construction times and guaranteed high quality execution.
The most interesting element is the prefabricated helical stairwell, conceived as a monolithic structure and completed with prefabricated steps. The construction of this component required careful technical study, from the design of the formwork to the handling and installation phases, given the complexity of the element’s shapes and dimensions.
Overall, the project combines functionality and construction precision, offering an example of how prefabrication can be used not only for production needs, but also as a tool to obtain coherent, orderly and aesthetically pleasing architectural results.
